Presentation Skills Envy

I've always envied people who have the balls to do presentations
without a 4Megabyte Powerpoint presentation full of animations.

Yesterday, at the Developer Testing conference at PARC, Kent Beck did an hours talk with no more than a single
hand-scrawled slide. Bastard! And he was entertaining! Bastard!
How can people talk for an hour - AND be entertaining - without use of
clipart and animations.
