If you go cross-eyed and look at this picture, you'll see my back yard in 3D.

I tried it 5minutes ago and it worked. I can't see straight yet, but I'm sure the effects are temporary.

How about a nice cup of Hoasca tea

The New Yorker: The Talk of the Town

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court sided Friday with a New Mexico church that wants to use hallucinogenic tea as part of its services this Christmas.

Justices lifted a temporary stay that the government had won last week.

The Bush administration contends the hoasca tea is illegal and dangerous.

Nancy Hollander, the lawyer for the Brazil-based O Centro Espirita Beneficiente Uniao do Vegetal, told justices in a filing that hoasca is not only safe, but to members it "is sacred and their sacramental use of hoasca connects them to God."

Microsoft Releases Desktop Search ...

or if you prefer "MS 'v' Google, Round 3"

On Wednesday Larry Page scratched his arse. On Friday Bill Gates scratched his arse and added, "My arse is bigger, faster and better integrated with my desktop than Larry's arse.".

Jesus, it's 1996 all over again.

p.s., "Arse" is English for "Ass", but sounds better.

I hate Galaxian. I hated it in the 80's and I hate it now.

Which, translated, really means:

I'm crap at Galaxian. I was crap at it in the 80's and I'm crap at it now.

dual-layer ROM HD-DVD and DVD disc

I recall this was the promise of SA-CD - and look how that turned out ... i.e., the studios didn't bother to make dual layer discs.

News Stories - The IEE: "Memory-Tech and Toshiba have jointly developed a dual-layer ROM (read-only) disc that can store content in both the HD-DVD and DVD formats.

    ...

The new disc makes it possible for consumers to view DVD content on standard DVD players and, after purchasing an HD-DVD player, to enjoy high definition content on the HD-DVD layer from the same disc. "

Pictures taken from model aircraft

Not by me. I'm not that sad ... yet.

But this is a good Golden Gate Bridge:
Golden Gate Bridge

Can't be real - notice the lack of fog.

If I were in the FBI, or the Dept of Homeland Security, or MI5, I'd be worried about the number of pictures taken of power plants by model aircraft. That's what I'd be investigating matey, but hippies in Fresno!

introduction to MIESKUORO HUUTAJAT

No, they're not possessed, they're "singing".

MIESKUORO HUUTAJAT (Men's Choir Shouters) was formed in 1987 in Oulu, Finland, by a group of young men who clearly had nothing better to do. The idea was to dress ca. 20 men in black suits, white shirts and black rubber ties, and train them to shout some of the most beloved songs in the Finnish song heritage.

Aren't SIM cards great!

It's just possible that I'm a geek. But this morning, I managed to be in Santa Clara, London and Brussels within a few minutes. Or at least, to all intents and purposes I was.

Just be changing the SIM card in my mobile phone. I faked a presence in three different countries - for entirely dubious purposes. "Call me back I'm on 0778 ...", tee-hee. Supposedly in a smokey pub in Olde London Town - they then never guessed I was sat in my boxer's drinking latte in Sunny California.

Where did the sun go?

This morning I was taking a picture of the frost (yeah, I know, frost ... in California! What a novelty!). Seems my sexy new Philips Key Ring 010 USB Camera didn't like the sun ... either that or the sun was momentarily eclipsed and no one but I noticed!
