The Campaign

The Campaign, Staring Will Ferrell

Tonight's family movie:

It's a Movie from 2012, but things don't change fast in the world of politics!  Still sadly very relevant during Decision 2016.  I wouldn't rule out Trump sleeping with Cruz's spouse for a 4 point bump in the polls ... Equally, if it helped his numbers, he'd probably shag Bill.

Happy St Paddy's Day ...

Nobody likes the English. Sometimes it makes me sad. But on days like today, St Paddy's Day, and days like Cinco De Mayo, it's actually quite a relief.

Being internationally despised means our nations "red letter days" are not made a mockery of by the inbev-anheuser conglomerate.

Just as Irish Greg lamented on this morning's KFOG breakfast show. They basically take three or four of your people's worst stereotypes and use them to build a shallow fiction representing your entire culture.

St George's Day, April 23. St George on horseback, against a backdrop of the English Flag

For the English you can imagine what that would mean for St George's Day: Dancing around a maypole, wearing a dragon on your head, some bad teeth, and listening to a sound-track of Steeleye Span, The Beetles and Adel.

Austin Powers and his bad teeth

Thank god we English aren't popular.

A tray of cupcakes topped with green sprinkles. Because you can't have a holiday without cupcakes.

San Jose: America's most forgettable city

A web story on fivethirtyeight.com, a statistical news outlet, has branded San Jose the most forgettable city in America...

Hey, if it means the terrorists leave us alone too, I'm quite happy to be on the forgotten list!
