Nobody likes the English. Sometimes it makes me sad. But on days like today, St Paddy's Day, and days like Cinco De Mayo, it's actually quite a relief.
Being internationally despised means our nations "red letter days" are not made a mockery of by the inbev-anheuser conglomerate.
Just as
Irish Greg lamented on this morning's KFOG breakfast show. They basically take three or four of your people's worst stereotypes and use them to build a shallow fiction representing your entire culture.
For the English you can imagine what that would mean for St George's Day: Dancing around a maypole, wearing a dragon on your head, some bad teeth, and listening to a sound-track of Steeleye Span, The Beetles and Adel.
Thank god we English aren't popular.
